Here is my opinion:
I understand that your wife has now two I 94s: One when she entered on H4 (we will call it OLD) and one when she returned from Mexico with F1 visa stamp (we will call it NEW). And both are attached to her passport.
First of all, I dont think this is a major deal. You can do one of the two things:
1. First option is to go to near by international airport and meet CBP officer. Explain him the situation (show him the copy of air ticket to mexico and appointment letter with the consulate); chances are, he will take care of the old I 94 (but make sure to keep a copy for yourself for future reference). And you can forget about the whole thing (just keep copies of old I 94, air ticket, appt letter for future reference if any question arises at any time).
2. Second option is to nothing about this and just keep the old I94, a copy of it, copies of air ticket and appoinntment letter for your file and close the file until and unless you are asked about it. Chances are, they would have automatically changed the information in their system and you may never be asked about this old I 94. If they do, you can tell them the truth what happened. I dont think it is a major deal.

If yes then you should be fine but with or without original 797 and no stamping in passport it will be difficult to get into USA. Unless you have AP to get back into USA. Hope this help. Good luck for your travel tomorrow.

In my opinion, one of the more intriguing product announcements from Nikon today was the Coolpix 8700. If it improves significantly from the Sony, that could be a killer product. If you have AP, I dont see an issue. Just take a copy of your I-485 and I-797...That should be enough....Also quickly print your last two paychecks.
I travelled with AP and a copy of I-485 receipt....Nothing else....

finally i was able to file my petition as spouse of us citizen. 1400 $!!!
this is my second time filing papers since 2004. we got denied for no show in interview.
we been 5 years married and goiing strong.
i read for one week instructions and self filed it.
im applicant of adjust status +i131 under spouse of citizen.
after self filed the papers, they are asking for initial evidence for i-485, wi thout that they cannot give me work permit.
.i put on support avidavit last year our joint 1040 with 10000 $ .it is not enough so we got joint sponsor, our friend, single with 40000$ at 1040.
i put my self as household member earning 90%. of 10000$. bad year. my wife could not work for long time.
the trouble is that income of mine with w2, was expired work permit.
dont ask me how because i dont know what happened i guess i forgot.:mad:
i know how stupid of me!!

It is perfectly legal to let two employers file for her H-1B visa. She can even work for both of them!

A friend of mine who's in India right now has been offered a job by two different employers here in the US. Both of those employers want to file for her H1B.
From her perspective it makes sense to let both the employers apply for her H1 coz that increases her chances of getting at least one approved. However, reading a bunch of FAQs online it seems that it'd be illegal for her to let both the employers apply for her H1B.
Is that correct? Does anyone have any insights?

I and my wife are on EAD here and my wife had to go to India urgently on an Advance Parole that was expired last month. Can I apply for the AP renewal for her while she is in India, so that she can come back without any problems? Please let me know what options do I have. I filed EAD/AP and I485 together when I filed back in June 2005. I did not do any finger printing for EAD then. But for EAD renewal in 2006 and 2007 March, I applied EAD online. Then I had to go to ASC(Application Service Center) to give finger prints(not all fingers for EAD).

Did anyone (or spouse) applied for Social Security No. who were using ITIN before, for tax purposes. I have applied for 485 and EAD and plan to apply for my wife's Social Security once I get the EAD. Are there any tax filing implications? How to switch to this new number and still be able to e-file next year (assuming I get EAD this year)?

My spouse passed away and 13 days later Congress passed survivng family act law, which says survivors/dependents can continue the GC app in the event the primary appliant dies. My questions are,
1. Since the law was enacted after my spouse's death am I eligible to continue that GC app and renew my AP and EAD?
2. I am planning to go to my home country for few months (may be a year) and will come back in the middle just to renew my AP when time comes and go back again with AP. Can I stay on AP or need to apply for H1b extension which I am eligible for 3 yrs ext based on my I140 approval ?

your wife is fine, with H1 transfer there is no need to file H4 transfer. She is not out of status.
If she had presented the new H1 approval she would have got I-94 based on that date. So just apply for her H4 extension now.
And no issues with filing I-485
